Knit Reusable Cotton Rounds
In this video I show step-by-step how to knit a reusable cotton round! These are knit in the round, and worked from the outer edge in towards the center. I would recommend selecting a cotton based yarn that is machine washable. For washing instructions, I would machine wash the cotton rounds in a delicates bag, then lay them flat to dry.
This pattern is written for two yarn weights: worsted (#4) and fingering (#1/#2)

• Tapestry Needle
• Scissors
• Worsted Weight:
o US 8 (5 mm) 32” (or longer) circular knitting needle
o 3 yds (2.75 m) worsted weight cotton yarn

o US 2 (2.75 mm) 32” (or longer) circular knitting needle
o 4 yds (3.7 m) fingering weight cotton yarn

Abbreviations
• K2T (Knit 2 Together): Insert the right knitting needle through 2 stitches on the left needle as if
to knit, knit the two stitches together
• SSK (Slip, Slip, Knit): Slip one stitch as if to knit from the left to right needle, slip another stitch as
if to knit from the left to right needle, pass the two stitches back over to the left needle, knit the
two stitches together through the back loop
Worsted Weight Version (Show in Video)
Using the US 8 (5 mm) knitting needle cast on 36 stitches and join in the round.
Round 1: Knit
Round 2 (Decrease): SSK, Knit 2, K2T repeat between *’s a total of 6 times across the
round
Round 3: Knit
Round 4 (Decrease): SSK, K2T repeat between *’s a total of 6 times across the round
Round 5: Knit
Round 6 (Decrease): SSK repeat between *’s a total of 6 times across the round
Cut yarn leaving an 8” (20.3 cm) tail.
Use a tapestry need to weave the tail through the remaining stitches.
