Break yarn leaving an 18” tail. Using a tapestry needle, thread the tail through all the stitches on
the needle, then slide the stitches off of the knitting needle. Tighten tail to secure. This tail will
be used to seam in the Construction section of the instructions.
Ears (Make 2)
Cast on: Cast on 8 stitches using the loop cast on method
Row 1: Knit (8)
Repeat Row 1 6 more times
Decrease Row 1: Knit 1, K2T three times, K1 (5)
Decrease Row 2: Knit 1, K2T, K2
Decrease Row 3: K2T twice
Decrease Row 4: K2T
Break the yarn leaving a 6” (15 cm) tail. Using a tapestry needle thread the tail through the
remaining stitch on the needle, then slide the stitch off of the knitting needle. Weave in the top
end. The cast on tail at the bottom of the ear will be used to sew the ear to the body later.
Scarf
Cast on 5 stitches
Row 1: Knit (5)
Repeat Row 1 until the scarf is approximately 9” (23 cm) long.

Use a 1.4” (3.6 cm) pom-pom maker to make 2 pom-poms. Sew one pompom onto each end of
the scarf.
Construction
Starting with the 18” tail at the top of the bunny, use mattress stitch to seam down the
back, leaving a 1” gap open at the bottom. Fill the bunny with stuffing, then finish
sewing the seam and weave in the ends.
Fold the ears in half and sew one to each side of the head.
Using your black tapestry thread sew on the bunny eyes.
Abbreviations Used:
M1R: Insert left needle from back to front under the bar that runs between the previous stitch worked
and the next stitch on the left needle and knit through the front loop.
M1L: Insert left needle from front to back under the bar that runs between the previous stitch worked
and the next stitch on the left needle and knit through the back loop.
K2T: Knit two together
SSK: Slip one stitch from the left to right needle as if to knit. Slip a second stitch as if to knit from the left
to right needle. Pass both of the stitches back onto the left needle, and knit them together through the
back loop.
K: Knit
KFKB: Knit regularly into the stitch on the left needle, but leave the stitch on the left needle (do not slip
it off after you knit it). Knit through the back of the same stitch, then slide the stitch off of the left
needle.
