Size: Adult Medium
• Maximum Length: 9.25” (23.5 cm)

• 220 yds (200 m) fingering weight yarn
• 24” US 2 (2.75 mm) Circular Knitting Needle
• 1 Stitch Marker
• Tapestry Needle
• Waste Yarn - Fingering Weight or thinner
Gauge: 16 sts x 21 rows = 2” x 2” Stockinette in the round
Abbreviations
• M1R: bring your left needle point from back to front underneath the bar in-between the
stitch you just worked and the one you are about to work. Knit into the front of the bar.
• M1L: bring your left needle point from front to back underneath the bar in-between the
stitch you just worked and the one you are about to work. Knit into the back of the bar.
• K2T: Knit 2 together
Note: The pattern is identical for the right and left glove. Repeat the below steps twice to
create a set of gloves.
Cast On (Video Time 3:20)
Cast on 56 stitches. I recommend using the Long Tail or German Twisted cast on.
Divide the stitches for magic loop and prepare to join in the round.
Ribbing (Video Time 6:38)
Ribbing Round: Knit 2, Purl 2 Repeat across the round.
Repeat the ribbing round until the work measures 2” (5 cm) from the cast on edge.
Increase Set-Up (Video Time 6:59)
Knit 3 rounds
Increase Round 1: M1R, knit across round

Increase Round 3: M1R, knit 1, place stitch marker, knit the remaining stitches
Increase Round 4: Knit
There are now 30 stitches on the front needle and 28 stitches on the back needle.
Thumb Increase Repeat (Video Time 9:16)
Thumb Round 1: M1R, knit until the stitch marker, M1L, pass the stitch marker, knit the
remaining stitches
Thumb Round 2: Knit
Thumb Round 3: Knit
Repeat Thumb Round 1 through 3 until you have a total of 20 stitches before the stitch
marker. Finish after you complete Thumb Round 3.
Place the Thumb Stitches on Waste Yarn (Video Time 11:12)
Thread the tapestry needle with the waste yarn and slide the 20 thumb stitches off the
knitting needle and onto the waste yarn. Remove the stitch marker.
Continue knitting the 56 glove stitches until the knit portion (from the end of the ribbing
until the knitting needles) measures 4” (10 cm).
Index Finger (12:30)
Re-arrange the stitches:
o Slide the first 8 stitches purlwise
o Pull the circular knitting needle in your right hand to the left so that the 8
stitches slide onto the cord
o Using the tapestry needle and waste yarn, place the next 40 stitches onto the
waste yarn
o Slide the last 8 stitches purlwise
Once the re-arranging is complete you should be back at the beginning of the round and
there are 8 stitches on the front needle and 8 stitches on the back needle.
Index Round 1: Knit across the first 8 stitches, cast on 2 stitches, turn work and knit the
remaining 8 stitches
Continue knitting the index finger until it measures 2.5” (6.4 cm).
Finger Decrease Round 1: K2T, Knit 2 repeat across round until 2 stitches remain, K2T
Finger Decrease Round 2: Knit

Finger Decrease Round 3: K2T until one stitch remains, Knit 1
Cut the yarn leaving an 8” (20 cm) tail. Using the tapestry needle, thread the tail through
the remaining stitches.
Middle & Ring Fingers (Video Time 18:30)
Beginning with the side of the mitten where the thumb is towards the right
o Pick up the first 7 stitches from the waste yarn going from right to left
o Pull the circular needle holding the 7 stitches to the left so that the stitches slide
from the needle to the needle on the other side of the cord
o Turn the mitten to the opposite side (thumb is towards the left)
o Pick up the last 7 stitches from the waste yarn going from right to left
o Remove the waste yarn from the 14 stitches that are now on the needles
Once the re-arranging is complete you should begin the next round on the side where
the thumb is towards the right. The stitches should be divided so there are 7 stitches on
the front needle and 7 stitches on the back needle.
Middle & Ring Finger Round 1: Join the yarn. Knit the first 7 stitches, cast on 2 stitches,
turn the work, knit 7 stitches, pick up and knit the 2 stitches that were cast on to the
side of the previous finger.
Once Round 1 is complete there should be 9 stitches on the front needle and 9 stitches
on the back needle.
Middle Finger: Continue knitting the finger until it measures 3” (7.6 cm).
Ring Finger: Continue knitting the finger until it measures 2.5” (6.4 cm).
Middle & Ring Finger Decreases
Repeat the decreases as described for the index finger.
Pinky Finger (Video Time 24:08)
o Pick up the first 6 stitches from the waste yarn going from right to left
o Pull the circular needle with the 6 stitches to the left so that the stitches slide
o Pick up the last 6 stitches from the waste yarn going from right to left
o Remove the waste yarn from the 12 stitches that are now on the needles
the thumb is towards the right. The stitches should be divided so there are 6 stitches on
the front needle and 6 stitches on the back needle.

Pinky Finger Round 1: Join the yarn. Knit the first 6 stitches, turn the work, knit 6
stitches, pick up and knit the 2 stitches that were cast on to the side of the previous
finger.
Continue knitting the pinky finger until it measures 1.75” (4.4 cm).
Pinky Finger Decreases
Repeat the decreases as described for the index finger.
Thumb (Video Time 25:11)
Beginning with the side of the mitten where the thumb is towards the left
o Pick up the first 10 stitches from the waste yarn going from right to left
o Pull the circular needle with the 10 stitches on it to the left so that the stitches
slide from the needle to the needle on the other side of the cord
o Turn the mitten to the opposite side (thumb is towards the right)
o Pick up the last 10 stitches from the waste yarn going from right to left
o Remove the waste yarn from the 20 stitches that are now on the needles
Once the re-arranging is complete you should begin the next round on the side where
the thumb is towards the left. The stitches should be divided so there are 10 stitches on
the front needle and 10 stitches on the back needle.
Thumb Round 1: Join the yarn. Knit the first 10 stitches, turn the work, knit 10 stitches,
pick up and knit one stitch from the corner where the thumb joins the glove.
Thumb Round 2: Knit the first 10 stitches, turn the work, knit 9 stitches, K2T
Continue knitting the thumb until it measures 1.5” (3.8 cm).
Thumb Decrease Round 1: K2T, Knit 2 repeat across round
